Am 26. August 1939 wurde der promovierte Theologe und Germanist Konrad Jarausch, Studienrat an einem Magdeburger Gymnasium, zur Wehrmacht einberufen. Er war Soldat im Feldzug gegen Polen und im Krieg gegen die Sowjetunion. Am 27. Januar 1942 starb er in einem Seuchenlazarett in Roslawl an Fleckfieber.
